Neon has officially unveiled the trailer for Alpha, the highly anticipated third feature film from acclaimed French filmmaker Julia Ducournau, and it promises an unsettling, emotional, and deeply personal cinematic experience. Alpha centers on a 13-year-old girl named Alpha, played by Mélissa Borosas, who lives alone with her single mother in the port city of Le Havre. Their fragile world begins to unravel when Alpha comes home from school with a tattoo on her arm. What might seem like teenage rebellion quickly turns into terror, as her mother fears the tattoo is a sign that Alpha has contracted a mysterious new bloodborne disease spreading through society—one that slowly turns its victims into marble.
